• The Crown Clarence Works was purchased in 1921 by Charles Bradley.

• Manufacturing commenced in 1922 producing general tea and dinner ware for the home market. 

• The Bradley family were also associated with the Sailsbury Crown China Co. Ltd. - early Sailsbury marks (1927-37) include the name Bradley's. The 1947, 1951 & 1960 Pottery Gazette Directory listing for Sailsbury Crown China gives the Managing Director as Leslie H. Bradley and the Works Manager as S. C. Bradley. 

• Bradleys (Longton) Ltd experienced financial difficulties and in 1939 went into receivership.
