  • Jacob Baggaley retired from the business in 1886. The works were then taken by Dunn, Bennett & Co.

Unglazed matt earthenware two-handled Garniture Vase decorated with bas-relief floral sprays with songbirds and said to have been specially produced for Jacob Baggaley's own home, 

Another example of this vase-on-stand is in the V&A Museum, London.

 


 

Initials and marks used on ware for identification:

 

J B 

A mark used by the firm was a bee with 
wings expanded, beneath which is a ribbon with the initials J. B.
