Earthenware manufacturer at the Sylvester Works, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England.
  • The partners were Edwin Holmes and Ralph Plant. Previously Thomas Madew had been in partnership with them until the 24th June 1884 when he left the business. 

  • Holmes & Plant were also recorded by Jewitt as being - at the Waterloo Works in Hanley - they probably kept some interest in the works from the time when a previous partnership, Holmes, Plant and Whitehurst operated there.

  • When Holmes & Plant ceased operation the works were absorbed into the adjacent Nile Street works of Doulton & Co.
