Barrister-at-Law. 
Coppenhall, Stafford. 

Born 1876 at Barlaston Hall, Stoke-on-Trent. 
Son of late James Meakin.
Educated at Clifton College, Trinity College, Cambridge, and School of Economics, London University.

J.P. for County of Stafford, 1925; 
Contested as Liberal Candidate several times in Staffs.; 
Member of Liberal Executive; 
Hon. Secretary Midland Liberal Federation;
Representative of Bulgarian-British Association. Served as Lieut. in 5th North Staffs.
Wrote the War History of 5th North Staffs.; 
Wrote Life of an Empire, dealing with a year's travel round the British Colonies, 1903 and 04; 

Fellow of Royal Geographical Society; 
Member of Alpine Club. 

Recreations-Mountaineering and Golf.
