MOWAT, Alexander Goodsir (Dr.), M.B., C.H.B. (Aber.).

Born 1899 at Stonehaven, Scotland. Son of Dr. Alexander Goodsir Mowat.
Educated at Bootham School, Yorks., and Aberdeen University.

Married 1927, Aileen Maud Balfour, daughter of late John G. Cockburn.

Deacon, Chesterton Congregational Church, 1932; 
Corps Surgeon Newcastle Corps St. John's Ambulance Brigade, 1933; 
Divisional Surgeon Chesterton Division, St. John's Ambulance Brigade, 1927.

Served 1917; 
Private 4th Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders, 1918-19; 
2nd. Lieut. 5th Gordon Highlanders; 
Active service in France, 1918.

Played Rugby Football for Aberdeen University, 1919-24; 
Half-blue for Rugby; 
Welter Weight Boxing for Aberdeen University, 1923 and 24.

Heir-John Stuart Simpson Mowat. Born 1930.
