which then traded as Godwin, Rowley & Johnsons
large platter in the Willow Pattern |

Ware "decorated with
the standard Willow pattern has been notes with a printed mark of a
ribbon bearing the words 'STAFFORDSHIRE' and 'STONE CHINA', above the
initiaals G. R. & Co. Although they may relate to an earlier
partnership Godwin, Rathbone & Co., this design is more likely to
have been made by the later firm"
