  • The partners were John Nicholls, John Tomlinson, John Stanway & Thomas Bennett.

  • In December 1857 John Tomlinson left the partnership. The business then traded as Nicholls, Stanway & Bennett.

  • At some time John Nicholls was in partnership with John Tomlinson as Nicholls & Tomlinson.

  • In September 1858 both partnerships were sued for bankruptcy.
