  • After Richard Hodson died in 1880 the business was continued by the other three partners - George Procter (Hodson's son-in-law), William Mayer and George Woolley. The name Hodson & Co was retained for a few years.

  • In 1883 the business was renamed Proctor, Mayer & Woolley. 

  • The business had some financial difficulties and in 1891 a notice was published for the creditors of George Proctor & William Mayer. (George Woolley must have left the business earlier). 

  • In 1891 the business became George Proctor & Co

NOTE: Ware did not seem to have a makers mark
