"Vase of porcelain, decorated with gilding on a dark blue ground. Ovoid body, long narrow neck, recurved mouth with wavy edge, tall foot, two scrolled loop handles rising from the shoulder. On one side are figures of two Roman soldiers, and on the other is a vase. The remaining surface is decorated with crossed spears, crescents, rosettes and small sprays of foliage."
