Bone china manufacturer at Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England
  • The owner and Managing Director was Spencer Stevenson. Sometimes directories listed the company as Stevenson, Spencer & Co Ltd, leading people to think (wrongly) there there were two people - a Mr Stevenson and a Mr Spencer. 

  • Originally manufacturing at the Dresden Works, Bagnall Street, Longton.

  • In 1951 the company officers were listed as Manging Director: Spencer Stevenson; Sales Manageress: Miss F. Stevenson; Art Director: H. Eardley; Works Manager: A. Thompson. 

  • By 1956 they were listed at the Enson Works, Chelson Street, Longton. The company officers were Manging Director: Spencer Stevenson; Works Director: Eric S. Stevenson; Sales Manageress: Miss F. Stevenson; Art Director: S. T. Dunn; Works Manager: A. Thompson. 

  • Manufacturing stopped in 1960 but they continued as a distributor of ceramic ware.

Spencer Stevenson were one of the few companies to produce the Willow pattern
on Bone China - the vast majority was earthenware
