Springfield Tileries
Tile-making is one of the few instances where machinery has not successfully displaced the hand-making process. It is true, however, that some tiles are made by machines and sold at a lower price, nevertheless, the hand-made artical still dominates the market as its long life invariably gives a better return upon money invested in tiles and similar products. When machines are evolved to manufacturer goods equal in every whay to those produced by hand, they will be installed at Springfield Tileries. Meanwhile, the steadily rising demand for "Triton" Products denotes that goods made by hand in the good old ways are still the best, and suffice to say that it is only possible for a firm to survive the vicissitudes of so many years of manufacturing and marketing by supplying the right goods.
