Brick from Fenton Tileries

Charles Challinor (b.1829 d.1893) the managing director of  John Challinor and Co. Ltd. and Glebe Colliery also had interests in a number of pottery manufactories including E. and C. Challinor and Co. and the Pinnox Works in  Tunstall (employing 3,000 people) - he also had interests in Fenton Tileries.
