Burslem Elim Pentecostal Church (formerly the Christian Pentecostal Fellowship) was started by a group of people from the Elim Church, in Hanley, Stoke on Trent, UK, over 15 years ago. The first venue was a Community Centre, and during their journey have  used 'borrowed' facilities in a Residents' Association Hall and two different churches.

In December 2006 a Church Partnership with the Burslem United Reform Church began. The URC church hall had experienced a fire and the members wanted someone to partner with them to make full use of facilities if rebuilding was undertaken.
