Gothic
Revival style Church designed by Gerald Horsley and built between
1910-1913. Red brick, with ashlar dressings and plain tile roof with
coped gables. The
foundation stone was laid on St. Andrew's Day (30th November) 1911.
Gerald
Horsley (1862-1917) was one of the five founding members of the Art
Workers Guild - estabilshed in 1884 by a group of British architects
associated with the ideas of William Morris and the Arts and Crafts
movement.
