The ABC cinema in Hanley, opened as a cinema and bowling
alley in 1963, was divided into three smaller screens in
1977.
Closed in December 2000.

'Stanley Casino'
When the ABC cinema opened this was a 10pin bowling
alley, when the bowling craze declined the building
became a night club 'The Steam Machine' - such famous
names as Diana Ross performed here. After lying empty
for many years it became a Casino.
