 The Shelton Iron & Steel Works site transformed from industrial wasteland to, National Garden Festival to retail park.......

The amount of damage and desolation to the surrounding area can clearly be seen. The Trent and Mersey canal can be seen passing through the works.
Wedgwood's pottery works are in the bottom right hand corner.

To the left is the Trent & Mersey Canal, beyond the canal is the remaining part of
British Steel, Shelton Works, which continued to roll steel until April 2000.

At the bottom of the photo is the A53 Etruria Road, below the road is Etruria Park.
Running up the left hand side of the photo is the Trent and Mersey Canal

Etruria Hall can be seen in the approximate middle of the picture.
