The Gardens

The Queens Gardens were a mix of Roses and Seasonal Bedding until 1989 when the central bed layout was redesigned and was turned over entirely to Bedding.

The Council continues to regard the Queens Gardens as the Jewel in the Crown of its Town Centre Bedding displays and is a central feature of the Borough’s Britain in Bloom entries.

The gardens won the Royal Horticultural Society judges trophy for Horticultural Excellence in 2003.
