Emma
Biggs is the artistic mind behind the "Made in England
Mosaic", she studied Fine Art at Leeds University.
A
professional mosaicist, teacher and author Emma Biggs resides in London, England, and is one of the founders of
the renowned Mosaic Workshop, the largest mosaic studio in
Britain. Emma and the Mosaic Workshop produce private and
public commissions and exhibit around the world. She has
wide expertise in the medium and a true artist’s sensibility
for design and colour theory.
Joined by her colleagues
Tessa Hunkin and James Postgate, the Mosaic Workshop is
currently undertaking new work for a number of chapels in
Westminster Cathedral.
She makes collaborative paintings with her husband, the
well-known art critic Matthew Collings - presenter of
the UK television Channel Four's Turner Prize programme. |
