Lads and Dads

 

In 1967 Doug Brown (former physiotherapist to Stoke City football club) set up the first "Lads-and-dads" matches on school football pitches, which had previously been closed at weekends. 

At the first meeting of the organisation at Trentham Park more than 250 boys and fathers turned out. It is still going strong today (2002)
