Married 1897, Mary Trubshaw, daughter of late George Bennion, C.C., Mayor of Longton.

Clerk to the Longton Borough Justices, 1890-1910, 
and to the Justices of the City of Stoke-on-Trent, 1910 to date 1934; 
Clerk to the Governors Longton Endowed School ; 
Solicitor to the County of Stafford Permanent Benefit Building Society ; 
Breeder of Pedigree Dairy Shorthorns ; 
Member of the Committee of Management and Live Stock ; 
Judge of Staffordshire Milk Recording Society ; 
Member of the Shorthorn Society and Dairy Shorthorn Association of Great Britain and Ireland.
