Born, 1890, Stoke-on-Trent. Son of the late Arthur Hewitt.
Educated Magdalen School, Brackley, Northants.


Married 1915, Edith Mabella, daughter of the late Henry Wilson.


Councillor of the City of Stoke-on-Trent since 1931; 
Vice-Chairman of the Stoke-on-Trent Conservative and Unionist Association from 1931; 
Member of the Executive Committee; 
Stone Division of Staffordshire, Conservative and Unionist Association from 1931.


Served during the Great War, 1914-19, with the R.F.A. and R.G.A. in England and Salonika and Irish Rebellion, 1916. Twice mentioned in dispatches.


Recreations-Golf, Tennis.
