Born 1862 at Brown Edge. Son of the late Joseph Holdcroft. 
Educated at Brown Edge C. of E., Morton C. of E., Burslem W.

Married 1885, Ellen, daughter of the late James Berrisford. 

Councillor of Hanley Borough, 1903-10, and for City of Stoke-on-Trent, 1910-13; 
Alderman for Stoke-on-Trent, 1913 to date 1934; 
Member of Sanitary, Finance, Watch and Insurance Committees, also on Central War
Savings Committee. 

Heir-Thomas Daniel Holdcroft.
