John King Knight a pottery manufacturer at the Foley Pottery, Fenton (the works were built by John Smith about 1820)
In partnership with the Elkin Brothers and John Bridgewood, producing blue-printed earthenware including the Willow pattern.He was a trustee of the Longton Freehold Land Society.
King was recorded (1851) as living in Golden Hill, a potter, coal master and farmer of 220 acres.
Known to have owned (1854) Ubberley Colliery.
