MANDLEY, Arthur, J.P. (Retired). 
Dunelm, 110 Liverpool Road, Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Born 1856 at Newcastle-under-Lyme. Son of the late John Smith Mandley.
Educated at Orme Boys' School, Newcastle-under-Lyme. 

Married 1879, Sarah Ann, daughter of the late Edward Mitchell.

Justice of the Peace, 1911; 
Actuary, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Betley Government Trustee Savings Bank, 1886, retired 1915; 
Commissioner of King's Taxes, 1925;
Trustee of Newcastle Burgeses Lands; Chairman, 1915, retired, 1931.

Rendered Valued Service to Recruiting Office during the Great War under Lord Derby's Scheme.
Director of Building Society for thirty-five years; 
Trustee of Wesleyan Methodist Church for thirty years; 
A Founder of the "Hearts of Oak" Friendly Society Medical Agency. etc.

Recreations-Bowls; Winner of Silver Cup and The Mayor's Prize Bowls, etc.
