Photo date: around 1905
Enoch Wood constructed the fountain for public use. The cast iron fountain was removed and housed in the City Museum but is now refurbished and re-installed.

Directly behind the fountain can be seen Lycett's Blinds Warehouse. Originally this formed part of Enoch Wood's very large Fountain Place Pottery Works, built in 1789.

 

On the left is Manchester and Liverpool District Bank.
