This photograph was taken quite close to the home of Arnold Bennett,
who, between 1880 to 1888 lived at number 205.

Waterloo Road, with the tram lines visible, runs from Burslem,
 through Cobridge to Hanley.

The public Hose on the left sells 'Parker's Ales'
