Three photographs, together making up a panoramic view of the works in 1926
With re-building complete,
the remaining old, blast furnace plant was scrapped. It was 1924 and
those three furnaces were capable of making 6,000 tons of iron a
week. With occasional relinings and associated work, they were to supply the plant with iron until that part of the plant was closed in 1978. |
