The Parkway is the street which runs along the north side of Hanley Park, at one end it starts at Regent Road and on the east side of the park it merges into Ridgway Road. 

Harding Road, Matlock Street and Bethesda Road all join onto The Parkway. 

On the 1898 map the street in know as Park Road - there were few houses at that time. Just one at the corner of Park Road and Matlock Street and a block of 5 at the top near Regent Road (was Regent Road South)
