Fairway Road, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent

On the 1925 OS map this road did not exist - the area around Cooper Street (renamed in the early 1950's to Patterdale Street) and Norton Terrace had started to be laid out.
To the back Fairway Road is still surrounded by fields - where on the 1925 OS map was a tramway from a footrail to the back of the houses on Riley Terrace. Below Fairway Road was the Banktop Colliery which was later the location of a Marl Works.
