 A short lived China ware manufacturer at High Street, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent 

  • The business was established by Mr J G Hiles and Mr A E Howard after their acquisition of the assets of Doric China Co from Mr J H Dale in 1948.

  • The Clarence Works were renamed Jason Works - the logo adopted for the backstamp was a representation of Jason, the ancient Greek mythological hero and leader of the Argonauts.  

  • In 1950 the works were purchased by Susie Cooper as a base for Susie Cooper China Ltd. which was her venture into bone china manufacture.
