Earthenware manufacturer at the Alexander Pottery, Wolfe Street, Stoke, Stoke-on-Trent, England.
  • "George Thomas Mountford established this pottery in Wolfe Street in about 1880. Good class earthenware was produced to 1898, when Messers. Myott Son & Co (Ltd.) succeeded"  Jewitt's Ceramic Art of Great Britain - Revised by Geoffrey A. Godden.  

  • G. T. Mountford died on the 2nd January 1898. He was living at Linton Villa, Regent Street, Stoke-on-Trent. The London Gazette 25 Feb 1898

  • In 1895 an Ashley Myott was apprenticed to G. T. Mountford. On Moundtfords death in 1898 the Myott family (James Myott, the father) purchased the Mountford business. James's son Ashley Myott, aged 19 at the time, became manager of the business.
