Bell, Deakin & Proctor

Location and period of operation:

Bell, Deakin & Proctor

Lane End

c.1818

c.1865

Earthenware manufacturer at the Peel Works, Flint Street (Stafford Street), Lane End (Longton), Stoke-on-Trent, England.

Bell, Deakin & Proctor at the Peel Works appears to represent part of the wider Deakin business network centred on Lane End/Longton.

The Deakin element is closely linked with the better-documented Waterloo Works firms such as Deakin & Bailey, Dale, Deakin & Bayley, and Deakin & Son. The repeated appearance of Procter/Proctor in these partnerships suggests continuity within the same commercial circle rather than entirely separate enterprises.
