Location and period of operation:

Royal Crown Pottery Co.

Hanley

?

1913?

Earthenware manufacturer in Cannon Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, England.

Little is known about this manufacturer. The owner was a Thomas Shufflebotham.

The business was known to have been in operation by 1907. In June 1912 there was a fire at the works. In 1913 the company had financial difficulties and entered into an agreement with the creditors. It may be that the business closed soon after this.

NOTE:

There was an unrelated company who also used the name "Royal Crown Pottery - the Royal Crown Pottery Co in Burslem who produced crested ware.

Also there was an unrelated factory in Longton which was called the Royal Crown Pottery
