Weathering Prevents Lamination

After the clays have been dug and laid out for weathering thay are forked through and the properly weathered clay - which passes through the fork - is loaded into wagons and transported to the mixing stations.

Any clay which is not properly weathered remains on the fork and is put back for further weathering, and not until such clay has been sufficiently disintegrated - by the action of the atmosphere - to pass through the fork, is the process of weathering considered finished.

This system of double weathering, which is in operation at the Springfield Tileries, prevents and live clays from getting into the mixtures, and is the Architects' guartantee that "Triton" Tiles will not laminate.

The careful attention given to the preperation of the clays is largely responsible for the reliable quality of "Trition" Goods.
