West View and Sunnyside Cottage
Pair of cottages. Early 17th Century, with
alterations of the early 19th Century. Timber framed in square
panels with some arched bracing and queen strut roof, with brick
panel infill, and plain tiled roof with scalloped bands.
One-and-a-half storeyed, 3 bays, extended by one
bay to the right in the 19th Century. Outer doorways and 3
casement windows between, with 3 dormers over, with finials.
Roughly arched timber lintel over left hand doorway.
The 19th Century alterations bear the hall-mark
of the Sutherland Estate.
