Pitts Hill Station

Originally Pitts Hill station was to have been named Chell station, but the name of the smaller, but closer village prevailed.

above the tunnel is the £12 million Tunstall Northern Area Bypass (James Brindley Way), which will link the A527 between Reginald Mitchell Way and Biddulph Road, will ease traffic through the north of Stoke-on-Trent.

the effect of the bypass (opened in July 2008) on the greenway is now being corrected
