HOPE & CARTER

Initials "H & C" are found on printed marks. The name of the pattern is often included in this case it is "BELFORT"

Several printed marks are of garter form (as shown) and occur on patterns registered in the firms name in the 1860's.

c.1862-80

example of printed mark with name in full - probably in the very early 1860's 
example of printed mark - probably slightly later than the one shown above because of the style of the Lion and Unicorn on the Royal Arms.

This style is known to have been used on ware with a registration mark dated from 1867.
