Manufacturers of earthenware at Stoke c.1826-35 and then at Longport c.1836-8)

Mayer's blue printed earthenware was of good quality and he enjoyed a large export trade.
He extensively exported to the United States of America and American devices occur in some marks.

Thomas Mayer mark for the 'CANOVA' pattern

'STOKE-UPON-TRENT' indicates the Cliff Bank Works at Stoke.

'LONGPORT' indicates a date of c.1836-8 when the company moved to Longport
