Joseph Finney (b. c1822 d.?) - China Manufacturer - Longton
c1822 born at Consal, Staffordshire 1853-58 In partnership with Walker as 'Walker & Finney' at the Victoria Works, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. 1858-1900 Continued in business as 'J Finney & Co' 1878 Joseph Finney was Lord Mayor of Longton. The family (2001) recount that "There is also a 'story' that after the death of Joseph Finney and wife the factory had to be sold because all the daughters wanted their share. The son Joseph Goodwin Finney then moved to Bangor N. Wales where he opened a china shop."
