to the left is the parapet of Limekiln Bridge, in the foreground is the work on the Caldon Canal.
On the skyline centre is Hanley and towards the right is the skyline of Northwood.
Just at the back of the crane can be seen the old church building  of St. Andrews on Bucknall Old Road.
