Blurton is a residential district in the south-west of Stoke-on-Trent, situated between Longton and the boundary with Newcastle-under-Lyme.
The area developed from rural farmland and scattered settlement into a substantial suburban community during the late 19th and 20th centuries, driven by the expansion of housing linked to local industry and the wider growth of the city. Its layout reflects a mix of older routes and more planned residential estates, with distinct neighbourhood pockets that grew progressively as Stoke-on-Trent expanded west and south-west.
Today, Blurton is a largely residential district with local centres and green spaces, forming part of the wider urban fringe of the city.
