Hall Street runs from Church Square at the bottom to Westport Road at the top. In Church Square at the bottom is St. Paul's Church of England Church. Half-way up on the corner of Spens Street is the Catholic Church of St. Joseph's and at the top on Westport Road stood the Hill Top Sunday School of the Methodists.
