Thomas Lake (Number 1) was recorded in a 1818 trade directory as 'cabinet maker - Stoke'. He had two sons Thomas (probably the grocer at number 2) and Samuel - who was recorded (in 1881) as a cabinet maker at number 11 Glebe Street.
