Mile post in London Road, Stoke - opposite the Royal Doulton factory.

On London Road near to the Library and opposite the Royal Doulton factory stands this 19th century cast iron mile post, cylindrical shaft with domed cap, panelled.

This is a "listed building"!  

Over 180 buildings in the Potteries are listed - ranging from mile posts, a Saxon preaching cross to pottery bottle kilns.
