Earthenware manufacturer at the Kensington Works, Hanley and then from 1937 at the Top Bridge Works, Longport, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England. 

  • Kensington Pottery operated at the Kensington Works in Hanley.

  • Around 1937 Gerald Wood, the Managing Director of the Arthur Wood Group acquired a controlling interest in Kensington Pottery Ltd. Since 1934 the Arthur Wood Group had owned Price Bros, who operated from the Top Bridge Works.

  • Upon acquisition Kensington Pottery moved manufacturing to the Top Bridge Works and continued to operate under their own name. 

  • In December 1961 Price Bros (Burslem) Ltd and Kensington Pottery Ltd. were amalgamated as Price & Kensington Potteries Ltd.

 

 

Sunsequently:  Price & Kensington Potteries Ltd.
