Fence Panels
at the Forest Park Primary School, Hanley
 

Location: On the edge of the car park at Forest Park Primary School, Woodall Street

Description:

A series of openwork fence panels, each divided into grids of sixteen squares.

Each square uses imagery from the face and body, and shows adults and children at play. Each of the panels shows a separate scene.

 

Background:

Staffordshire County Council adopted a 'percent for art' policy in 1990. This has been a successful method of introducing the work of artists and craftsmen into all new capital schemes, such as road improvements and schools.
