Description:  1851-55 BY CHARLES LYNAM, Stucco over brick with pantiled and concrete tiled roofs.

Pair of houses. Circa 1840 by Charles Lynam.

Stucco over brick with pantiled and concrete tiled roofs. Italianate style, 2-storeyed, and 5 bays with symmetrically arranged. Outer bays are advanced gables with canted bay windows to ground floor with round arched mullioned lights, and paired mullioned sashes above. Gabled porches in angles of gable and central range, and triple round-arched mullioned sash windows.

Tower to rear of No. 23. Overhanging eaves, rear stacks.

Built as part of a private development of middle-class housing, originally comprising 24 dwellings.
