Shop and store, originally dwelling. Late C18.
Painted brick with plain tiled roof. 2-storeyed
2-unit plan with central renewed doorway flanked by 3-light
casement windows on each floor, with flat arched brick heads.
2-light window over doorway.
Dentilled eaves, gable end stack. Lower rear
wing. Now part of the Gladstone Pottery Works
Gladstone was
not a famous pottery, however it was typical of hundreds of
similar factories in the area making everyday ceramic items for
the mass market and is now preserved as a complete Victorian
pottery factory.
