Normacot Road, Longton
 

The new Longton Spiritualist Church building in Normacot Road replaced the old one which was in Lightwood Road.

Gordon Higginson, the president of the Spiritualist National Union for 23 years, was a member of this church, he died in 1993

Gladstone Pottery Museum
Gladstone Pottery Museum - a listed building
can be seen at the end of Chadwick Street

Two companies merged in 1952 to be called Thomas Poole and Gladstone China. It was in March 1960 that the ovens last fired; but decorating and then only despatch departments were active until May 1970 when Thomas Poole and Gladstone China put the works up for sale - the works fell into dereliction but were saved from demolitions and became the Gladstone Pottery Museum -
