China manufacturer at the Mount Pleasant Pottery and then St. Mary's Works, High Street, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England. 
  • Samuel Moore was previously in partnership with Sampson Hamilton trading as Hamilton & Moore. In August 1858 Hamilton left the partnership and Samuel Moore continued on his own account. 

  • In 1862 the St. Mary's Works was built and Samuel Moore moved here. 

  • In 1865 Samuel Moore was joined by his son Bernard Moore and the company was renamed "Moore & Son"

  • Samuel died in 1867 - Bernard Moore continued to run the business, the name Moore & Son was retained. 

  • In 1870/2 Bernard was joined by his brother Samuel Vincent Moore and they operated the St. Mary's works as "Moore Bros"
